Statistics released today by the British Film Institute show that 132 video games received final certification for VGTR in the first three quarters of 2018. These games had a combined UK / EEA spend of £94m, out of a total budget of £108m.
Yesterday saw the Houses of Parliament opening its doors and welcoming UK esports onto its premises for the first time ever. In partnership with Intel, Digital Schoolhouse, and the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Video Games, Ukie led the event enabling Members of Parliament to join esports businesses, sports organisations and brands to learn of the scale of esports in the UK.

Ukie Students unveil their biggest nationwide Student Game Jam ever. Made up of over 250 students, from over 15 educational institutions, 55 teams competed to have their game crowned the cream of the crop and awarded with a plethora of prizes.
These prizes include:
‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 4’ retains the No1 spot as the top 3 remain the same in The All Formats Chart, with ‘Fifa 19’ and ‘Assassin’s Creed’ at No2 and No3 respectively.
Warner’s ‘Lego DC Super-villains’ debuts in at No6 while Bandai Namco have 2 new releases that make the chart, with ‘Soulcalibur VI’ coming in at No8 and ‘Dark Souls Remastered’ at No 12. Ubisoft’s ‘Starlink: Battle for the Atlas’ makes No14 and Nintendo’s ‘Luigi’s Mansion’ makes No23 in their debut weeks.
