The UK's biggest professional game jam, Jamchester, is back for its second year in Manchester between 23-25 June.
Jamchester is back, sponsored by Google, Unity, Amiqus, and The Studio. Ukie are also proud to be a partner of the event.
The jam itself is aimed at professional game developers and independent studios, with teams of 1-4 people welcome. A small amount of tickets will be available for student teams, giving them the perfect opportunity to network with other studios and industry professionals in attendance.
Each team will have 40 hours to create a game that can be put forward for a total of eight different awards, handed out at the end of the bonanza. Developers will be able to stay overnight in the venue in order to make the most of their time.
Jamchester’s judges - which will be headed up by Gary Napper, Game Director at Supermassive Games - will judge the games throughout the development process, rather than just at the end.
Awards on offer will include:
Best Game, Art and Visual Presentation, Design and Gameplay, Audio Design, Technical Achievement, Innovation & Creativity, Best Company Game, Best Student Game.
Jamchester 2017 will hit The Studio event space in Manchester’s Northern Quarter between Friday 23rd June to Sunday 25th June. You can find more information and ticket sales at www.Jamchester.org.uk
