Members and MPs enjoy our largest ever Westminster Reception
Last night, in partnership with Activision and Ubisoft, we hosted our largest ever Westminster Reception to announce our policy manifesto framework and celebrate the cultural and economic importance of the UK games sector. Over 200 policy makers, MPs, Peers, policy makers and industry figures from other creative sectors attended.
Justin Tomlinson MP for Swindon North and recently-promoted PPS to Ed Vaizey spoke highly and passionately about the growing respect for the games industry within Parliament and pledged to continue to support the sector.
Guests at the reception had a chance to play some of Ubisoft and Activision’s latest titles including Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Just Dance 2014 and Skylanders: Trap Team. Charity Special Effect were also there demonstrating their latest innovations to help young people with different abilities enjoy games.
Our Policy Manifesto is now available below. Read more here and find out how you can get involved. You will hear more about what we plan to do that does not necessarily require specific policy intervention at our AGM on 25 September.
We just wanted to take this time to thank everyone who attended and helped celebrate the UK industry. We look forward to making your voices heard and making the UK the best place in the world to make and sell games.
