Our Game Connection Paris 2014 Round Up
We were delighted to welcome over 20 British companies to the UK area of the Game Connection show floor this year, with more than 65 UK games businesses attending across the three days of the trade show. Not only was the Ukie business area covered in iconic union jack bunting and flags, but it was also buzzing with activity. Thanks to the UKTI Tradeshow Access Programme (TAP) grants, UK companies who were in the Ukie space saved more than £11,000 in exhibition costs. These grants from UKTI made it easier for businesses to make potential deals with new partners and showcase their talent by exhibiting at these international events. In addition, UK businesses who didn’t have an exhibition space at Game Connection but attended the show were free to use the Ukie stand to do business, hold meetings and network with companies, such as Fat Pebble, Strike Gamelabs, Four Door Lemon and Kempt.
Ukie also hosted the UK Industry VIP drinks reception on the Thursday of Game Connection in the Heure Sup Bar. The event was done in partnership with businesses Multiplay and Playfab, with more than 80 attendees from UK and international companies coming together for free drinks with friends, co-workers and clients to do business.
We are currently analysing the amount of business made at this year’s trade show, so if you are a UK company and exhibited at Game Connection, we would be grateful if you could fill out our short survey here.
