This year, Ukie is bringing our annual Ukie Student Conferences to Summerset House during the London Games Festival on the 2nd of April at 9:30am. Following the success of our last two conferences in October 2018, which yeilded 800+ signups combined, we are so honoured be be given the opportunity to host our event at the London Games Festival. We have had an overwhelming response from the industry in regards to speaker sign ups and we truly believe this is one not to miss. We'd like to thank OPM Response for sponsoring this event.
What's happening?
This year there will be Demo Zone set up in The Hub within Sommerset House for London Games Festival, as well as inspiring talks from 20 industry experts, free for our Ukie student members to learn from and enjoy. These talks will be from prolific people and companies from within the industry, such as AAA companies like Playground Games, Tom Hawkins and Dom Starr from Creative Assembly on their marketing techniques, Meg Daintith from Codemasters on women in games and getting into the industry. As well as this, there will be talks by representatives from Rare and Jagex. The day will kick off with a key note from Kim Parker, owner of OPM Response.
OPM Jobs will also be holding a CV and Portfolio workshop throughout the day, which is definitely worth attending if you've yet to make a quality CV or portfilio.
