The focus of national days can vary from baked beans to celebrated three-day bank holiday weekends. They come and they go, but some are dearer to us than others. National Video Games Day brings feeling of excitement in the air at Ukie, so we thought it was the perfect opportunity to shout about what makes this sector so great. Every day we see the innovative work the UK games sector achieves in the name of creating games, but sometimes we forget to realise that not everyone notices.
Ukie is bringing our annual Student Conference to London, all as part of the 2017 London Games Festival. Our fourth Ukie Student Conference: South will arrive at London South Bank University on Wednesday 5 April for a day of inspiring talks and exclusive workshops for over 200 students from our Ukie Student membership.
Ukie has partnered with the ICT sales tracking company CONTEXT to conduct an in-depth survey on attitudes and purchase intentions for Virtual Reality devices across gaming and non-gaming consumers in five EU countries, including the UK.
At Moov2 and Ukie's recent event, Rocket Jump in Guildford, Phil Elliott from Square Enix Collective gave a talk about pitching your game to publishers.
