Once again, Ukie is taking the UK Industry out to gamescom, the biggest annual European games show.
This is the biggest stand that Ukie have ever managed at gamescom, with over 80 of the top UK games businesses coming with us to the show to exhibit, meet international partners, demo new games, and represent the best of the UK's games sector.
Ukie is out in Shanghai this week with a mission of UK games businesses visiting ChinaJoy, in an exciting addition to our growing International Trade programme. This is the third time that Ukie have taken games companies on a trade mission to the show, but the first time that Ukie have hosted a UK Industry Stand in the b2b area.
Dr Jo Twist OBE, CEO of Ukie, discusses the growth of the UK Industry Stand at gamescom, and how you can be involved this year
We first took 22 UK businesses to Gamescom in Cologne in 2012. The UK industry stand at Europe’s largest consumer games show has been the focal point of Ukie’s annual International Trade programme ever since, helping the industry network with international companies, secure investment and promote the UK industry as a real player in the global games scene.
GDC 2017 is here!
The UK games industry has once again descended on San Francisco for GDC 2017, the biggest and longest established games industry event in the world. Ukie is once again running the UK Industry Stand, taking out some of the biggest names in UK games to make international business connections, exchange ideas, network, attract funding, pitch to investors, and promote the UK as the best place in the world to make games.
Who is on the UK Industry Stand?
We're happy to say that the UK stand at gamescom 2016 will be a Great British Tea Party! Previous exhibitors will know that every year we pick a theme to thoroughly celebrate the Best of British, as a testament to the brilliant British companies that come out to the UK stand with us. You can check out photos from last year's Royal themed stand from 2015 here.
