The highly anticipated Ukie Student Game Jam is returning for its fourth year on May 17 - 19 2017!
The Game Jam will see teams from Ukie Student institutes competing against each other to create the best game in 48 hours and win the coveted Ukie Student Game Jam trophy.
Ukie is bringing our annual Student Conference to London, all as part of the 2017 London Games Festival. Our fourth Ukie Student Conference: South will arrive at London South Bank University on Wednesday 5 April for a day of inspiring talks and exclusive workshops for over 200 students from our Ukie Student membership.
The London Games Festival will return to the capital between 30 March - 9 April 2017.
April 2016 saw the first hugely successful London Games Festival, during which over 38,000 attendees visited 30+ events at 20 venues across London. This included the BAFTA Games Awards, EGX Rezzed, a giant Monopology board on Trafalgar Square, a variety of summits and talks at the BFI Southbank, and the inugural Games Finance Market. The festival organiser, Games London, plan to see this number grow to 50,000 attendees next year.

The Ukie Student Game Jam is returning for its third year on April 4-5 2016, as part of the new London Games Festival. The Game Jam again will see teams from Ukie’s fifteen Student institutes competing against each other to create the best game in 36 hours and win the coveted Ukie Student Game Jam trophy.

PlayStationFirst joins Ukie Student Conference as third partner
PlayStationFirst joins Epic Games and Flix Interactive as sponsors for the Ukie Student Conference on Wednesday 21 October. The free one-day conference, held at Staffordshire University, will bring together over 200 students and alumni to hear about the games industry and pursuing their dream career.

Ukie Game Jam winners collect their trophy
Huge congratulations to Code Name Spy for winning the Ukie Student Game Jam 2015, who collected their well-deserved trophy yesterday.
This year's game jam was kindly sponsored by Square Enix's project Collective and NextGen Skills Academy. The jam, which was the 11th and 12th of May, saw 14 teams from Ukie's student membership competing against each other to create the best game possible in 36 hours, using the theme 'identity crisis’.

Ukie's Annual Student Game Jam 2015
Ukie is holding the annual official Ukie Student Game Jam (exclusive to Ukie Students) on May 11th and 12th, sponsored by Next Gen Skills Academy and Square Enix. Each university will submit a maximum of three teams of up to six students for the jam, and each team will be paired with a mentor from the industry who will help guide the teams throughout. Mentors will either visit the university or be available remotely. Teams will compete against each other and other universities to create the best game and win!
