Have your say on the Consumer Rights Bill guidance
The Consumer Rights Bill currently going through Parliament will introduce new rules protecting consumers if they buy digital content online which turns out to be faulty.
Ukie have been engaging closely with the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) throughout the development of this law to ensure it does not damage the ability of games companies to sell online. BIS have now shared a first draft of the guidance they will provide to businesses on how the new law will apply to digital content when it comes into force in late 2015. They have asked for initial feedback on whether this guidance is clear enough.
