Pace of Tax Relief applications increases

Many more games applied for tax relief in December

As set out by Creative Industries Minister Ed Vaizey, since last April 25 projects had been formally approved as qualifiying for tax relief. In December alone however, a further 21 applications were received - almost as many as in the previous eight months combined.

The long-term trend is more important, of course, but it's really encouraging to see that more and more companies are recognising how helpful the tax relief can be, giving up to 20% of your core budget back to you.

There's lots of advice on our website about how to claim the tax relief for your game - we urge anyone making games here in the UK to look into it and make sure you don't miss out.
