Ukie Student Conference: South - Call for Speakers

Ukie is bringing our annual Student Conference to London, all as part of the 2017 London Games Festival. Our fourth Ukie Student Conference: South will arrive at London South Bank University on Wednesday 5 April  for a day of inspiring talks and exclusive workshops for over 200 of our Ukie Student membership and we’re looking for a small army of games industry volunteers to help us make it happen.

If you're in the games industry (in any  role), we're inviting you to submit a proposal for a talk or an interactive workshop that you would like to run to inspire and inform the next generation of games talent. We’re looking for really diverse and interesting content to give our students as much information about what it’s like working in games and how they can build the successful career of their dreams.

Submit your talk here

Thanks to sponsorship from Epic Games, Games London and London South Bank University, we’re able to run this conference in London for the first time, reaching more Ukie Students with valuable opportunities to gain unique insight from, and network with, games industry insiders.

Our last conference saw over 200 students and lecturers gather to hear talks from over 25 big names in the industry, covering creative game design, emerging business models, PR and player strategy, as well as individuals sharing their experiences working in the UK games sector.

You can check out some our previous talks such as – Careers and opportunities in eSports by Isabel Davies or “RuneScape: Running games as a live service”, with Conor Crowley to see what you're getting yourself in for! Talks can be about anything and everything you find interesting in the industry, career paths, what you're working on now, or much more, so take advantage of this brilliant opportunity for you to share your knowledge with the future stars of the games industry!

Key topics for the conference would include:
Art, animation & design
Community management
Start ups
Graduate careers
