It's time to announce the participating studios in #EUROPLAY21! 🏆
With the help of Kwalee, Loading Bar, MCV/DEVELOP and VGC News we'll be crowning the best unreleased game in Europe.
Let's take a look at the shortlist:
🇧🇾 Representing Belarus and BelGameDev it's Beyond The Thaw by Papyra Games, an adventure set by a mysterious lake cabin.
🇧🇪 Belgium and Belgian Games entry is You Suck At Parking by Happy Volcano, the worlds most EXTREME parking game, and the only racing game where the goal is to stop (probably).
🇷🇴 Representing Romania and the Romanian Game Developers Association, it's Bear Breakfast by Gummy Cat Studio, a laid-back management adventure game where you build and run a bed and breakfast in the woods...but you're a bear.
🇷🇸 Next we have the entry for Serbia and Serbia Games Association, Ripout by Pet Project Games - an online Co-Op horror FPS that will have players fight their way through derelict ships filled with mutants that can refigure their bodies.
🇨🇭 Switzerland's and Pro Helvetia's entry is Wild Planet by Lukyantsev Company, a chill co-op survival game where the community can impact the world in an async way.
🇺🇦 Next up we have Ukraine and Ukraine GameDev Nation - Sketch Crawler from game by Koan is a new collectible card roguelike that gives players the power to create cards and redraw everything.
🇪🇸 The entry for Spain and DEV is The Occultist from Pentakill Studio, a true-first-person narrative psychological horror focused on a protagonist uncovering the mystery of his missing father on a devastated and haunted island.
🇮🇹 Next we have the entry for Italy and Italian Interactive Digital Entertainment Association, Batora: Lost Haven by Stormind Games - a hack & slash combined with a twin-stick shooter in a nonlinear interplanetary story-driven action RPG.
🇫🇷 The entry for France and Microids is The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf by OSome Studio. The Smurfs are developing an antidote for the evil Vileaf, but can they stop the wizard Gargamel before it's too late?
🇨🇾 Finally we have the entry for Cyprus and Team17 - The Unliving by RocketBrush Studio is a rogue-lite action RPG game where players can raise the dead as a fearsome Necromancer.
