Sunderland College

Our Extended Diploma in Games, Animation and VFX was one of the
original 4 courses set up in partnership with NextGen Skills Academy and
AIM Awards. The course was designed under the guidance of an
employer steering group, with representation from some of the biggest
games, animation and VFX companies in the UK. Students spend their

Foundation  Degree - Games and Interactive Design

This Foundation Degree concentrates on the technical and artistic use of digital interactive technologies to create games and mobile apps. It provides you with access to a range of software for designing and building interactive content on multiple platforms.

Computer coding forms an integral part of the course, providing the technical foundation for dynamic artistic design. You will have the opportunity to specialise in game design or app and web development as your progress through the course.

University of Abertay Dundee

Abertay University launched the world’s first ever computer games degree in 1997. This postgraduate Masters course was followed by a complementary undergraduate course, and later by specialist courses in production management and game applications development.
