They carry out assessments to see how a person’s disability is holding them back & find technology that can help them achieve their goals. GamesAid

GamesAid is a UK based video games charity (Registered UK Charity  # 1081706) which acts as an umbrella to support a number of smaller charities who help disadvantaged and disabled children and young people.

It is a non-trading body, administered by Trustees who operate on a fixed term basis run by a chairman who is also appointed on a fixed term. As the only fully democratic charity in the games space, members of the games industry propose and vote for the charities of their choice annually.

Raspberry Pi Foundation

The idea behind a tiny and affordable computer for kids came in 2006, when Eben Upton, Rob Mullins, Jack Lang and Alan Mycroft, based at the University of Cambridge’s Computer Laboratory, became concerned about the year-on-year decline in the numbers and skills levels of the A Level students applying to read Computer Science. From a situation in the 1990s where most of the kids applying were coming to interview as experienced hobbyist programmers, the landscape in the 2000s was very different; a typical applicant might only have done a little web design.

We’re a core team of talented engineers and designers with over 35 years of combined experience in the web and mobile space.

We were tired of how expensive and cumbersome it was to get up to date and accurate information about apps and the app market so we decided to create a better service ourselves.

Ultraleap was formed in 2019 after two leaders in their fields, Leap Motion and Ultrahaptics, joined forces.  The combined resources of the two businesses and a wide range of research-based IP are now focused on facilitating engaging, natural spatial interaction between people and machines. It is the first to offer the full vertical stack of software and hardware to enable immersive virtual touch controls for the automotive, advertising, immersive entertainment and enterprise sectors.
