British Esports Association

The British Esports Association is a not-for-profit organisation designed to support and promote esports in Britain, with a focus on the grassroots level.

The aim is not to push esports as a sport, or as a rival to traditional sport, but as a credible activity in its own right which can have positive cognitive and other benefits when done in moderation. Esports also promotes teamwork and communication, develops communities and provides jobs. See our careers advice section here.

Cambridge Game Creators

Cambridge Game Creators (CGC) is the most active community of professionals and hobbyists who create, use, or have an interest in computer graphics, visualization, simulations, and games. Creative and technical experts of all disciplines with an interest in interactive graphics, visualization, simulations, games, or virtual worlds come together to share thoughts, network, and above all have fun.

Casual Games Association

Founded in 2005, the Casual Games Association is a professional international trade organization providing educational resources and community support for those involved in creating games for the mass market consumer. Casual games are found on a myriad of platforms including personal computers, video game consoles, mobile phones and handheld devises.

DNA: Digital Out-of-Home Interactive Entertainment Network Association

The DNA is a young, rapidly-growing association of individuals and companies developing social and networked out-of-home entertainment applications, found in amusement and theme parks, retail centers, educational institutions and sports, fitness and leisure facilities.

epic LAN

The team behind epic.LAN has been involved in running UK gaming events since 2003.
 
To gamers, epic.LAN events are often the first step in their esports career, either as a player, talent or backstage staff. epic.LAN hosts community LAN gaming events of varying sizes around the UK with a balance of competitive and casual gaming across a range of titles and platforms.

Gamer Network

Gamer Network was founded in 1999 by brothers Rupert and Nick Loman.

Prior to founding the company, the brothers played a lot of network and online games like Duke Nukem 3D and Quake II, and their love for competitive multiplayer video games led them to organise their own events.

After realising they were better at organising than competing, they decided to create an online games business together with friends from the gaming community. Several years after that (paying the bills by designing websites and game middleware) they decided to focus purely on games media.

Games London

Games London is a groundbreaking new programme to support, grow and promote the games and interactive entertainment sector in the UK capital. The programme is funded by the Mayor of London’s London Enterprise Panel (LEP) and delivered by Film London, the capital’s strategic agency for film and media, and UK games industry trade body The Association for UK Interactive Entertainment (Ukie).

Gfinity

Formed by gamers and with the backing of successful investors, Gfinity was created to help push eSports within the UK to a professional level, to raise awareness and to provide an arena for gamers to showcase their talent.

Gfinity was launched as a company in early 2013 and plans were immediately set in motion to deliver events and user experiences unlike any that had been seen in European eSports before it.

Heaven Media

Heaven Media is a marketing agency that specialises in Online Gaming and eSports. We exist to help consumer brands genuinely engage the new generation of consumers for whom gaming is culturally fundamental and who can’t be reached through traditional media. Heaven Media provides solutions spanning the full range of content creation, influencer and eSports sponsorship and event delivery. Our team includes leaders and specialists from each marketing discipline, each with extensive personal experience of gaming as well as a profound understanding of how to motivate this new generation.

Innovation Birmingham Campus

Birmingham Science Park Aston was founded in 1982 and as such is the UK’s third oldest science park. Located in its urban location within central Birmingham, it offers 250,0000 sq ft of accommodation over 14 acres.

Birmingham Science Park Aston is wholly owned by Birmingham City Council. To give the Park a new dimension, provide clarity and pave the way for the £35 million Digital Plaza development, from 2013 it is being presented as two campuses; the Science & Technology Campus and the Innovation Birmingham Campus.
