Square Enix, Hi-Rez and PlayStation London Studio sign up to support Ukie Diversity Census

Friday 20th September, 11am (BST) - A further wave of leading games companies have signed up to support Ukie’s UK Games Industry Diversity Census, extending the reach of the most detailed analysis of workforce diversity in our sector.

Square Enix, Hi-Rez Studios, PlayStation London Studio, Futurlab, Fusebox Games, Payload Studios and Roll 7 have agreed to become partners, ensuring they will distribute the census to their entire UK employee base to help it reach as widely as possible and therefore deliver the most representative set of results possible.

The census, which is being conducted, administered and analysed independently of industry by the University of Sheffield, runs until the 16th October and takes a few minutes to complete.

The new partners join SEGA, Jagex, Creative Assembly, Hutch Games, Ustwo Games, Dovetail Games, Mediatonic, Coatsink, NaturalMotion and nDreams, bringing the total number of named partners for the census up to 17.

Companies employing over twenty people who wish to participate as partners in the census – and receive a bespoke information pack and sign up link – can do so by contacting anderona@ukie.org.uk for more information.

Individuals and smaller businesses can participate through a public online link. Complete the census in under five minutes via the below link.

Dr Jo Twist OBE, CEO of Ukie, said

‘We’re delighted to see even more companies publicly back the diversity census.

By supporting the census and helping it get as far and wide as possible, we’re better placed to produce the biggest, most detailed picture of our industry’s diversity characteristics than ever before.

We continue to encourage businesses and individuals to provide their responses to the census in the coming weeks to help us get the data we need to drive positive change across the sector.”
