Dr Jo Twist OBE, CEO of Ukie, commenting on the 2019 General election results, said:
"Ukie welcomes the new Government and looks forward to a period of stability where we can work together to ensure the UK continues to be the best place to make, play and sell games in the world.
We know the value our innovative, creative industry makes to the country culturally, socially and economically. We will continue to advocate on behalf of the sector, demonstrating our crucial contribution to policy makers.
We will encourage the Government to support our efforts to grow our industry further by helping drive investment into businesses of all sizes in video games clusters across the UK, enabling the global export of cultural content and attracting essential inward investment.
It is also important to preserve the policy environment that has helped our sector thrive over the past decade. We will make the case to the new Government about the importance of maintaining the free flow of data and access to the best and the brightest talent from across the world post Brexit."
