We do this through a number of ways, including:

And we always want to hear how else we can help UK games businesses so please get in touch.
We produce literature to keep our members informed about what we're doing and our Guides to and Need to Know leaflets give help and advice on topics such as Access to Finance and the Skills Investment Fund.
When you’re setting up a games business for the first time, it’s easy to feel that there are a million and one things that you need get done, none of which are anything to do with actually making a game. Whilst each games business is unique there are some standard things that most will need to consider, not least getting contracts in place for the various activities that you’ll be undertaking. That’s why Ukie, through the Developer Sub Group, has worked with legal firm and Ukie member Harbottle & Lewis to produce a series of standard templates created specifically for games businesses, to give you a starting point when drafting your own contracts.
Ukie’s IP services offer a number of tools and that can help games businesses to protect their IP. The services include a combination of education, technology and tacking IP infringement at its source. The services are available to for free to all Ukie members. Businesses who are not Ukie members can also pay to use the tools that they need to increase online IP protection.
