WXY is offering its PR subscription platform, /gaming, for free for the first month to new subscribers to help those releasing a game that have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Launching in October the service typically costs £55 month and was set up to help indie developers and solo developers releasing their own game to secure media coverage.
The Hub Crawl: Raising Your Profile events saw the Ukie team visit 12 locations across the country with the aim to educate local developers and publishers on different ways to raise the profile of their businesses and games.
Update: The Ukie Hub Crawl: Raising Your Profile events due to take place in Edinburgh, Guildford and Newcastle have been postponed until later in the year. Emergency policy changes at the event spaces due to be used prevent gatherings at these venues. This is in response to the current cituation surrounding CONVID-19. The Ukie Student Conference will be based during the Games London Festival at Somerset House on 30th March. There will be exclusive talks from industry insiders from all sectors such as PR, game development and esports.
This year the conference is sponsored by Playground Games, Epic Games, OPM Response and Games London.
Ukie is looking for diverse and interesting stories and content, to give students as wide a perspective as possible of what it’s like working in games and how successful careers can built.
Tuesday 14 January: Speaker submissions are now open for Develop:Brighton 2020, with organisers Tandem Events inviting game developers to submit their proposals by Wednesday February 19.
Develop:Brighton 2020 will take place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole from Tuesday 14 to Thursday 16 July, 2020.
