London Games Festival 2020 runs from 26 March to 6 April!
The Ukie Student Conference London 2019 sponsored by OPM Response was extremely well received by attendees and speakers. This is the first time the event has been held within the London Games Festival and it was incredible to build this conference into the overall LGF events plan with it being held at The Hub.
Ukie has become a major funder of this year’s Now Play This, part of the London Games Festival, to support more experimental game commissions and to help extend the exhibition’s run . It comes as part of a new three-way partnership with Games London and Now Play This CIC.
Now Play This is an initiative that supports experimental, culturally influenced and thought-provoking games that showcases the creativity of games, as well as the creators who make them.
We’re very excited about this year’s London Games Festival, which is going to the biggest and best yet when it arrives in the city next month from 5 April to 15 April.
The London Games Festival is organised by Games London, a partnership between Ukie and the capital’s screen industries agency Film London, supported by the Mayor of London’s London Economic Action Partnership (LEAP).
The London Games Festival will return to the capital between 5 April to 15 April 2018, following a hugely successful second festival in 2017.
The festival team have also announced that this year's event saw over 50,000 people attend 40 different events across 20 London venues.
Ukie is bringing our annual Student Conference to London, all as part of the 2017 London Games Festival. Our fourth Ukie Student Conference: South will arrive at London South Bank University on Wednesday 5 April for a day of inspiring talks and exclusive workshops for over 200 of our Ukie Student membership and we’re looking for a small army of games industry volunteers to help us make it happen.

Earlier this month Games London completed its first major outbound trade mission, taking nine companies to Helsinki’s increasingly influential tech event Slush.

The London Games Festival will return to the capital between 30 March - 9 April 2017.
April 2016 saw the first hugely successful London Games Festival, during which over 38,000 attendees visited 30+ events at 20 venues across London. This included the BAFTA Games Awards, EGX Rezzed, a giant Monopology board on Trafalgar Square, a variety of summits and talks at the BFI Southbank, and the inugural Games Finance Market. The festival organiser, Games London, plan to see this number grow to 50,000 attendees next year.
