That’s why Ukie has partnered with Sheridans, specialist legal experts, to create an industry-wide AI compliance framework, a consistent, recognised standard for responsible AI use across UK games, so studios don’t have to work it out alone. The service runs from an initial health check to a tailored AI policy, culminating in the Ukie AI Certification Mark.


How it works

Step 1: Tell us about your AI use

A short, confidential questionnaire covering questions such as whether you currently use AI, and what for, which third-party generative AI tools you use, under what licence, and more.

Step 2: Initial assessment

Sheridans meets with your studio to assess your AI use and identify key risk areas, using your questionnaire as the starting point.

Step 3: Tailored policy or review

Sheridans will either prepare a new AI use policy for your studio, or review and update your existing one, based on your actual tools and practices, not a generic template.

Step 4: Award of the AI Certification Mark

Once complete, your studio can use the AI Certification Mark to demonstrate your compliance credentials, in pitches, funding rounds, or due diligence.
