Ukie’s response to the Government’s position generally supports the current framework but emphasises the need for an opt-out system that is technically feasible, functional, interoperable, and easy to use for creators across all content types.
To support continued innovation and growth, the UK Government must take ambitious action to ensure the video games industry remains competitive. As such, Ukie is advocating for reforms to the Video Games Expenditure Credit (VGEC).
