London, 20th May 2026: “For One Night Only”, will be the biggest UK-centric games showcase ever hosted – putting a spotlight on the world-class games made by British studios and the UK’s status as a games industry powerhouse.
The event will be held at the UK’s most visited cultural destination, Outernet, filmed in front of a VIP audience before being live-streamed to a global audience on Twitch on the evening of 29th of July 2026.
The event is also planned to be supported by a UK industry Steam sale with over 100 games, giving visibility for all the games and companies highlighted in the showcase and other leading UK studios.
In what is a huge year for British-made games, there’s already a plethora of UK games powerhouses and indie talent making an appearance, with confirmed attendance from the following businesses with more to come:
For One Night Only is being created by UK games trade body, Ukie, and creative agency, Liquid Crimson.
Ukie CEO Nick Poole said, “The UK is home to some of the best games development talent in the world, from innovative indie favourites to globally successful blockbusters. For One Night Only will be a unique celebration of these amazing creative businesses and a showcase of their games to a global audience of game players. So, tune in for a night of fun, games, developer interviews and exclusive reveals.”
Lauran Carter, Communications Director at Liquid Crimson said, “There’s a huge amount of talent in the UK, and we see it up close every day. This is about giving those teams a proper stage and letting the work speak for itself.”
The event will be hosted by comedian and avid gamer Bec HIll, who said, “It is an absolute honour to be invited to host this event! I am in awe of the talent which continues to emerge from and within the British games industry, so it will be a refreshing (and humbling) experience to host something where the attendees’ level of creativity and skill outweighs my own.”
