Ukie Board Nominations 2025

Are you passionate about the UK games industry and ready to help shape its future?  Ukie Board nominations open on 19th August, and we want to hear from you.

We’re looking for individuals from all backgrounds, disciplines and career stages who are keen to champion our sector and represent the full breadth and diversity of the UK’s games and interactive entertainment industry.

Whether you work at a start-up or a global publisher, are an experienced leader or early in your journey, we encourage you to consider standing for election.

Why join the Ukie Board?

Ukie Board Members play a vital role in setting the strategic direction of our organisation and ensuring we deliver on our mission: to support, grow and promote the UK games industry. As a board member, you’ll:

  • Influence key decisions that affect the future of the sector
  • Champion policies and initiatives that promote innovation, inclusion and growth
  • Represent the voices of studios, publishers, service providers and creators across the country
  • Build your leadership skills and expand your network
  • Give back to the industry and help drive real, positive change

Who we’re looking for

We welcome nominations from across our membership, and we’re especially keen to hear from people who can bring new perspectives to the table. You don’t need previous board experience. We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Employed by a Ukie member company (full members only)
  • Committed to the future of the UK games sector
  • Strategic thinkers who can take a sector-wide view
  • Willing to give around 1–2 hours per week to support the work of the organisation

We believe the strength of our Board lies in its diversity of people, of ideas, of lived experience. So whether you’re a founder, artist, developer, executive, or anything in between, this is your chance to help shape the future of one of the UK’s most dynamic and creative sectors.

What our Board members say

“At the time, I didn’t think it was for someone like me, but I realised I had a voice to represent smaller studios, champion our talent, and highlight the cultural power of games.”

Maria Sayans, CEO, ustwo games

“Since joining the Board, I’ve loved shaping strategy and contributing to the Finance and EDI committees to share what I’ve learned along the way.”

Kelvin Plomer, Senior Director of Games Operations, Jagex
