What is the Pulse survey?
The Pulse survey is a regular programme of short surveys where Ukie reaches out to its members to ask for insight including but not limited to:
The Pulse survey is operated using Zoho Forms. Zoho Group is the data processor for data collected by the Pulse survey. You can read their privacy policy here.
Participation in the Pulse survey is entirely voluntary. If you are not a Ukie member, you may still participate in the surveys.
How are the results of the Pulse survey used?
Ukie may share individual responses within the organisation or with appointed third parties in order to analyse the results of our surveys. Insight provided by participants will be used to help us understand the UK games industry, to inform our own work and policy positions and to understand how we are performing.
Elements of individual responses may also be shared with parties relevant to Ukie’s business, such as government departments. Overall, aggregate results may be published or made public as part of Ukie’s business operations, including but not limited to publishing reports and responding to government consultations.
Individuals are not identified in responses to Pulse surveys but companies may be. Personal information and company identities will not be shared outside of the organisation other than with appointed third parties for the purposes of research and analysis.
What personal or sensitive data does the Pulse survey collect?
The only potentially identifying information that the Pulse survey collects routinely is the name of the company participants work for. We collect this information to help us understand what parts of the UK games industry are responding and to monitor for duplicate responses. This question is always optional but not providing this information may mean that we can’t include responses in future work relating to the survey. You can read Ukie’s privacy policy here and the cookies policy for the Pulse survey here.
AI Use
Ukie will not use AI to process your responses and you must not use AI to respond to or interact with Pulse surveys.

Assignment and transfer
We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under the terms of use to another entity.
Waiver
If we do not insist that you perform any of your obligations under the terms of use, or if we do not enforce our rights against you, or if we delay in doing so, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you or that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If we do waive any rights, we will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any right related to any later default by you.
