Ukie Annual Review 2025

We are proud to share our Annual Review 2025, marking the first full year of our Supercharged strategy – Ukie’s bold, five-year plan to support, champion and grow the UK’s world-leading games and interactive entertainment industry.

This year has been one of resilience, creativity and progress for UK games businesses. Together with our members, partners and supporters, Ukie has:

  • Secured major policy wins, including recognition of games as a priority growth sector in the Government’s Industrial Strategy.
  • Launched the Video Games Growth Programme, supporting 30 early-stage studios with mentoring, masterclasses and community-building.
  • Expanded Ukie Worldwide, generating £75 million in business wins for UK companies at international events.
  • Reached over 44,000 children through Digital Schoolhouse and relaunched Raise the Game with a renewed focus on diversity and inclusion.
  • Showcased the cultural and economic impact of our £7.82 billion industry to Parliament, families and the world.

Looking ahead, Year Two of Supercharged will see Ukie publish the UK’s first Workforce Strategy for Games, support the establishment of the UK Video Games Council, and expand our advocacy, education and trade programmes to ensure even more hit games are made in the UK.

As Ukie CEO Nick Poole, OBE, said:

“As one era of the UK games industry comes to an end, a new and even more exciting one is just getting underway. Let’s work together to supercharge UK video games and interactive entertainment as a force for change, innovation and success in our global industry.”
