Ukie Student Conferences 2019: Call for speakers

The annual Ukie Student Conferences return this November.

The Ukie Student Conferences will be held at Staffordshire University on Wednesday 13th November and at Abertay University Wednesday 27th November, and will each feature a day of inspiring talks, CV workshops and an exclusive expo area for over 200 students from Ukie’s Student Membership programme.

As ever, Ukie is calling for a small army of diverse games industry volunteers, whatever job and level they are in, to help make it happen.

If you're in the games industry, Ukie invites you to submit a short proposal for a talk or an interactive workshop that you would like to run to inspire and inform the next generation of games talent. Ukie is looking for diverse and interesting stories and content, to give students as wide a perspective as possible of what it’s like working in games and how successful careers can built.

To submit a talk please complete:

  • Staffordshire University Conference - Submit talk here. (13th November)
  • Abertay University Conference - Submit talk here. (27th November)

Alternatively, you can email Kirstie with your idea.

The last Ukie Student Conference held at Staffordshire University, saw over 300 students and lecturers gather to hear talks from over 25 professionals in the industry, covering creative game design, emerging business models, PR and player strategy, as well as individuals sharing their experiences working in the UK games sector.

You can check out some the previous talks from Ukie’s Student Conferences here to see what you're getting yourself in for!
