Free creative careers and computing conference for students and teachers from Ukie's Digital Schoolhouse, in association with Electronic Arts and Northern Ireland Screen
Festival of Play, the fun-filled creative careers and computing conference brought to you by Digital Schoolhouse in association with Electronic Arts, returns this summer with a jam-packed schedule of interactive workshops, inspiring talks, and innovative games - all showcasing the range of careers available in the video games industry to school students in Years 5-9 (P6 - Year 10 in Northern Ireland).
Returning for its third year, the Festival of Play will expand further than before, hosted for the first time at three universities across the UK: Stranmillis University College, Belfast on 18 June, University of Westminster, London on 4 July and University of Warwick, Coventry on 11 July.
This one-of-a-kind school trip is not just for your pupils. The conference is a fantastic opportunity for continuing professional development, providing teachers with the skills to bring computing lessons to life in the classroom by teaching in fun and playful ways!
Book your free tickets for the Festival of Play
Tickets are limited and so we ask that each school books for one group of up to 30 students. Please book only for the number of students you are planning to bring. If for any reason any students are unable to come, please cancel their ticket so that we can allocate that space to someone else.
The programme for the day will educate and empower young learners, allowing them to get closer to the technology used to make video games and to spark their interest in STEAM subjects. You will also get a chance to hear from and meet the people who work in the video games industry, encouraging your students to think about how the skills and interests they have today can match up with the careers they may grow into in the future.
