Training: Project Management - Learn Scrum with Lego

Back by popular demand, Steve will be running his video games specific introduction to Scrum, in which he uses Lego to give teams first hand experience of what Scrum feels like.

Steve says: “I think of this session as a sour dough starter for agile project management. There is so much complex and conflicting information around Scrum, but once teams experience it first hand, then they get it. This session gives them the hands on experience they need to get started.”

Scrum with Lego is intended for anyone involved in game development, from experienced producers to junior artists, and everyone in between. We will cover all of the theory you need to know, including: backlogs, burndowns, estimation, planning, sprints, team roles, reviews and retrospectives. Most importantly, you will then get to experience Scrum in action, and make this theory your own.

At the end of this day you will be ready to play an active role in any Scrum team.

About Steve: “I have been a manager and leader for over 25 years, and have spent the past 15 years working in games as a producer/director. In 2012 I fulfilled a life long dream; founding Team Lumo and released multiple award winning indie games. Nowadays I try and help developers make better, more successful games."

Cost: £100 cost per attendee (£75 for Ukie Members using discount code: "UKIE25") Tickets available here

This is an in-person session, held at Ukie's offices (18a, Blackbull Yard, 24 - 28 Hatton Wall, London EC1N 8JH) on Tuesday, 14th May, beginning at 10:00 and finishing at 16:00, with an hour's break for lunch.
