Develop:Brighton is the largest conference of its kind in the UK. Everyone who works in the business of making games, no matter how big or small, is invited to share insights and ideas, learn from each other and make new connections. And of course, Ukie will be heading down with a roster of events, as well as a few extra team members in attendance too - so come and say hi!
"Can the Games Industry Save the Planet?" hosted by Dan Wood
Tuesday 12th July, 15.00 - 15.45, Room 5
After curating last year's Green Games Summit, Ukie's Special Projects Lead Dan Wood continues his valuable work in this area by hosting a roundtable to address global warming and conservation issues. Games businesses will be given the chance to learn how to measure carbon emissions and what offsetting schemes are, as well as discuss green coding, inspiring change through games and much more.

"Raise Your Game: How to Make Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Central to Your Games Business" hosted by Dom Shaw
Wednesday 13th July, 12.00 - 12.45, Room 5
Fresh from a run of award nominations and wins (Gayming Awards, Develop:Star, National Diversity Awards) Ukie's Equality, Diversity and Inclusion co-ordinator and founder of our #RaiseTheGame pledge Dom Shaw brings together people who've sought to put EDI at the heart of the way their businesses work. Games businesses will receive practical advice on recruiting more diversely, fostering an inclusive culture and broadening the content of games to foster a welcoming environment for all. And crucially, they'll learn how to set targets, update processes and make changes stick to turn incremental improvements into long term transformation.
