Women in Games sign strategic agreement with Ukie

To coincide with Ukie’s Members Day & Video Games Awards, Women in Games today (March 4th) reveals that it has signed a Partnership Agreement with the UK trade association.

It means that Women in Games and Ukie will collaborate to support and promote greater representation and advancement of women in the UK games industry. The two organisations will work on joint initiatives that:

●        Support career development for women working in games

●        Improve industry-wide practices to foster inclusive workplaces, hiring & development

●        Provide networking, mentoring, and skills-building opportunities

●        Advocate for policies that support gender diversity, fair pay and equal opportunities

In addition, Women in Games and Ukie will investigate the development of joint research and policy advocacy efforts to support women working in the games industry, and those considering a career in the sector.

Women in Games CEO Dr Marie-Claire Isaaman said: “Women in Games has long valued its strong relationship with Ukie, and this new Partnership Agreement marks a significant, public commitment to our shared mission of advancing gender diversity in the UK games industry. It reinforces our dedication to supporting women and girls as consumers and as they pursue careers in gaming.

“We fully support Ukie’s Supercharged Strategy and its three core campaigns: Elevating Games, Empowering Talent, and Energising Industry. Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not—so we are thrilled to see Ukie making a bold, tangible commitment not only to our organisation but also to the women and girls we represent and advocate for.

“This partnership strengthens our collective ability to drive real change—creating a fairer, more inclusive industry that is not only vibrant and energised but also culturally rich and truly representative of the diverse talent within it.”

Ukie CEO Nick Poole added: “Through this partnership with Women in Games, we’re reinforcing our commitment to breaking down barriers, supporting career progression, and ensuring that women and girls can thrive in every part of our industry. With the relaunch of our Raise The Game initiative, we are strengthening our efforts to build a more inclusive industry where people from all backgrounds feel valued, supported, and able to succeed. The goal is to create real, lasting change that ensures the UK games sector is a place where everyone has the opportunity to thrive."

During today’s Ukie Members Day, Dr Marie-Claire Isaaman will be taking part in the #RaiseTheGame panel session on EDI. She is joined at the event by Women in Games Co-Director Gemma Brown.

Meanwhile, Ukie is supporting the Women in Games Careers, Development & Networking Expo on March 12th as a sponsor.
