Wednesday 11th August, 10am: UK games trade body, Ukie, have today announced that it will be hosting a Green Games Summit in October, in collaboration with ISFE and UN Environment Programme’s Playing for the Planet Alliance. The event is sponsored by Sony Interactive Entertainment
Held remotely over two days on the 20th and 21st of October, the Green Games Summit will for the first time bring the international games sector together to share knowledge, discuss and shape the industry’s approach to the climate crisis and sustainability ahead of this year’s, UK-hosted, COP26.
Games businesses from all over the world are being invited to attend the event to find out how they can become more environmentally sustainable, to learn from other games businesses about the latest innovative activities, activations and initiatives that are inspiring change around the world.

The Green Games Summit also has international trade bodies Abragames (Brazil), game (Germany), the European Game Developers Federation (EGDF), Video Games Federation Belgium (VGFB) and the African Game Developer Association on board as global supporters, with more international representative bodies being invited to support the event.
