Ukie will be celebrating its 30th birthday and its supporting 30 Years of Play campaign at Gamescom this year by bringing its largest presence ever to Cologne.
A record 84 companies will join the Ukie stand, which will be wrapped in a livery highlighting the key games and dates in the 30 years since the trade body first formed in 1989.
The 1,000 square metre stand – also Ukie’s largest ever – will show the strength of games development in the UK and the thriving infrastructure surrounding it.
It shows how seriously the UK takes export, how much demand there is for UK games content and how deep the country’s publishing experience – and that of its supplementary support sectors – is.
The stand will play host to a number of events for everyone to attend over the course of Gamescom week.
There will be two drinks receptions on Tuesday and Wednesday evening, supported by Coutts and Jagex respectively.
And Wicked Sick, in partnership with Biz Media, will announce the UK game of the show to celebrate the best of the brilliant selection of titles on offer on the stand.
