Celebrating Ten Years of Coatsink!
2021 is an important anniversary for Coatsink because it’s our tenth year making games and we believe it’s our most exciting yet!
We announced Moonglow Bay at the /twitchgaming Showcase in March which will arrive on Xbox and Steam later this year. We’ll also be releasing the second part of Jurassic World: Aftermath on Oculus Quest in 2021, but that’s just the start.
Over the coming weeks and months, we’ll be revealing even more titles, some of them releasing in 2021. Others in 2022 and beyond!

Far Cry comes to Zero Latency's VR arcades
The tropical Rook Islands are now open for exploration via location-based virtual reality with Far Cry VR: Dive Into Insanity. Launched in partnership with Zero Latency VR, the experience is now open at 33 locations worldwide and lets up to eight players at a time explore the islands’ pristine beaches and untamed jungle as they match wits with Far Cry 3’s Vaas and his band of pirates.

Impressive heights reached in transactional videogames but the battle for consumer retention must begin
The w/e 04 April 21 was the first 52 w/e period to show signs of slowing growth in the videogame market. Lockdown was successful in introducing new game shoppers to the market but H2 represents a challenge for videogames as lockdown loosens and our repertoire of activities expands especially in regards to social occasions.
Social Gaming in the home grew its importance in lockdown and could be the perfect occasion to lead us out. The loosening of lockdown only facilitates more opportunities for social gaming in the home as friends and family are reunited so making sure a shared gaming occasion is part of the consideration as we finally mingle in each other's households again.

Creative England Start Up Loans
Creative England has established a new partnership with the British Business Bank, to unlock new and important investment opportunities for all subsectors of the UK's creative industries.
The new government-backed Start Up Loans for the creative industries will offer borrowing of up to £25,000 at a fixed interest rate of 6% per annum, repayable over 1-5 years. As well as providing access to early financing, the loans will also include 12 months of post-investment mentoring support for recipients.
Applicants are welcome from any UK subsector of the creative industry; from young practitioners or experienced freelancers to creative Start-Ups less than two years old.
