Ukie Student Conference: Full schedule released

The above schedule outlines this years Ukie student conference, sponsored by Epic Games and Hi-Rez Studios. The event will run Wednesday, November 25th - Friday, November 27th across Zoom webinar and Facebook live, and will entail inspiring talks along with networking opportunities for students

This year we're very lucky to have an incredible array of diverse speakers from across the industry, including keynote speaker Joe Walsh, game designer at Mediatonic, and currently lead game designer on the recently very successful Fall Guys game. Joe will be discussing prototyping, and how he applied various prototyping principles to the Fall Guys characters to make them so uniquely useless.

All of the talks aim to give students expert advice from all disciplines in the games sector; programming, art and design, to publishing careers in PR, marketing, community management and much more. In a first, we have also included talks on broader topics spanning mental health and diversity as they become increasingly more important within the industry.

Register for the conference here.

Virtual Expo Space and Networking

During the conference there will be a number of opportunities for students to network with one another and industry professionals. Students will also have the opportunity to talk with Electronic Arts about upcoming internships and graduate roles. Similarly, Grads in Games and Amiqus recruitment will be available for students to ask questions about their CV/portfolios. For virtual expo and networking space we will be using Gather Town. A link will be sent to students prior to the event in order to access the various rooms.
